About Christina Calugcugan
“CC” has been a CA State Worker with the Employment Development Department for over 15 years and is currently serving as the Vice President of DLC 724, a delegate of the Los Angeles Labor Fed and is also a Regional Vice President for the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus with the SEIU International Union and brings years of experience and dedication to the labor movement.
With a passion for advocating for workers' rights and improving the lives of SEIU members, CC has organized and helped unionize health care workers in San Diego, the State Bar workers at Local 1000 and also helped Virginia Government workers unionize.
CC is strong woman of faith and is an
active volunteer in her church and in her community. CC grew
up in a union household. Her mother was a Local 1000 member
and retired from State service after 36 years. Her father is a
UFCW retiree and her husband, Terry of 22 years is a proud,
SMWIA, Local 105 HVAC worker. CC is blessed with 3 children,
Kathleen, Terrell & TJ and is committed to leading Local
1000 with integrity, transparency, and inclusivity.
